Welcome to Job Press (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website located at shopjobpress.com (the “Site”) and the purchase of any digital resume templates or career materials from our integrated Etsy storefront.

By accessing our Site or purchasing our digital products, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access the Site or purchase our products.

1. Intellectual Property Rights & Limited License

A. Ownership of Materials

All designs, layouts, text frameworks, structural templates, graphics, and code on this Site and within our sold products are the exclusive intellectual property of Job Press. Our designs are protected under Canadian, United States, and international copyright and intellectual property laws.

B. Personal Use License

When you purchase a digital template from Job Press, you are granted a single, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal use only.

  • What you CAN do: You may download, edit, and customize the template to create your own personal resume, CV, and cover letter for your own individual job applications.
  • What you CANNOT do: You may not resell, redistribute, sub-license, share, lease, give away, or include our templates in any bundle, template bank, or website for third-party use, either in their original form or in a modified layout. Commercial use, reproduction, or mass distribution of our digital assets is strictly prohibited and constitutes copyright infringement.

2. Digital Product Purchase & Fulfillment Platform

A. Etsy Integration

Job Press utilizes Etsy Inc. as our automated third-party e-commerce checkout and digital file distribution engine. When you click to buy a product, you will be redirected to Etsy to complete your transaction.

B. Account and Technical Requirements

By purchasing our products via Etsy, you agree to comply with Etsy’s baseline Terms of Use. To utilize our digital downloads, you must have access to a computer and compatible software, specifically:

  • Microsoft Word (PC or Mac)
  • Google Docs (accessible via a free web browser)
  • Apple Pages (Mac)

Job Press is not responsible for a user’s lack of the necessary software or basic computer operating knowledge required to unzip archives or update text files.

3. No Refund and Exchange Policy

Due to the digital, instant-download nature of our products, all sales are final.

Once an asset has been purchased and Etsy generates the file link, the product is deemed “opened” and consumed. We cannot issue refunds, cancellations, or exchanges if you change your mind, purchase the wrong file format, or discover you do not have the required software.

Customer Support & Formatting Guarantee

While sales are structurally final, your professional success is our primary focus. If you encounter any structural layout shifts, font discrepancies, formatting breaks, or file glitches while customizing your resume, we provide dedicated troubleshooting support. You may contact us at jerry@shopjobpress.com or via Etsy messaging, and we will manually fix your file structure.

4. No Guarantee of Professional Outcomes

Job Press provides structurally optimized, applicant tracking system (ATS) tested frameworks to assist you in designing a clean, professional application.

However, your employment outcomes depend entirely on individual factors, including your career history, skills, interview performance, market forces, and hiring managers’ discretion. Job Press does not guarantee interviews, job offers, employment placement, or specific salary outcomes as a result of using our templates.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, Job Press (including its owner, contractors, or affiliates) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of your use, misuse, or inability to use our Site or digital templates. This includes, without limitation, loss of employment opportunities, loss of income, data corruption, or business interruptions.

Our total financial liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your purchase shall not exceed the actual amount you paid to Job Press for the specific digital listing in question.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms, your access to the Site, and any purchases made from our digital catalog are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any legal disputes or claims arising out of this agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts located within Ontario, Canada.

7. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to modify, alter, or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any modifications will become effective immediately upon being posted on this webpage. Your continued use of the Site or purchase of our templates following an update signifies your formal acceptance of the revised Terms.
